30 days is plenty , completed so many quests and still had 5 days left . Game is easy ,keep your gear upgraded and choose your skills wisely and your good
But if you dont pick up everything from the chest the mission not gonna complete
It's actually a delayed passing, next time you reload or fast travel the time does pass
I did this once, then saved the game, and when i loaded back later the time moved forward like it still registered that i looted the whole thing even moved the quest forward
There’s no point to this. There is plenty of time in the game and you are missing out on skill points and xp if you don’t loot the chest.
They get completed after you load a game.
They patched this out
but if you do this you miss out on experience and skill points to level up

In surprised people are not tired of the looters and big open worlds. They get very exhausting
I am absolutely terrible at this game. I don’t care too much for my family irl so it’s been an easy decision not to give a shit about these virtual ones, my problem is dying everywhere I try to go in that town after they take your family. Any help on finding easy loot/gear to help early on would be greatly appreciated!
so I have completed the game once and I'm at end game again with 6 days left and a few side quests side quests. I'm level 39 and the only thing I really have are to start end game and random objectives like clearing out caves and saving random people that each take a couple segments so you really dont have to worry about the time all that much and the game doesn't end if you go over the timer
Yes I noticed a quest would not complete because I left some mouldy bread in it

yea… it just adds the time after you reload the save. so if you do this, save, and relog, your time will readjust
You can do that but the time will still pass when you die or reload a save. Happen to me multiple times you can’t escape it might as well take it all because the game will remember you opened it.
How do you equip from the chest on ps5?
Its just so dumb that these little things cost time. Quests should be the only things that do.
The fact that people are making these tips guides on how to open a f*cking chest in an RPG goes to show how stupid this entire time mechanic really is.

I knew this trick, but I do not use it on purpose. I enjoy having my decisions weighted by a price. Makes it feel more real haha

Doesnt work, dont do it. At soon as the day is finished and you load the file, it adds the time. I checked it by losing one segment of time

Or make a quick save at end game, save your family by killin Brancis, then reload and work along side brancis, then reload and just let the family die and 100% the map before killing brencis the 3rd time and uninstalling 😂

On PS5 its consuming time after u reload Your save anyway, happend on my playthrough, looted 2 chests this way, and died sometime later, after reload my time shifted 2 cells changing from night to day.
I still haven’t found the tooth fairy’s and found the wisp yesterday
For science, i’m just going to waste time doing as much side quests, looting and not worry about saving my family.
