Quite honestly in comparison to strong 150hp dacia from 2023 previous generation 4×4, I must say quite frankly, the new Dacia Duster is simply weaker compared to the previous edition. Especially when it comes to engine power – acceleration from 100 to 150 is weak and dangerous when overtaking. With new 4×4 drive, acceleration is worse over 4 seconds from 100 to 150 km/h !
Hi, I have a question about the Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 LPG.
When Start/Stop is active and you stop in traffic, does the car switch the petrol/LPG engine off and then start moving in EV mode?
After that, when the combustion engine starts again, does it start on petrol first and then switch to LPG, or does it start directly on LPG when the engine is warm?
I am especially interested in city traffic and traffic lights. Thanks!

Hello, thank you for sharing your experience, very interesting, I drive a Renault Captur Mild Hybrid and I have almost the same functions. For climate not working in park or EV mode it happens the same for me when Stop Start function is active or when engine is Off while driving, but in case the car temperature becomes away from the requested one engine starts automatically. I have also a parameter in the drive mode to select Normal or Eco mode of the AC. Regarding the ACC I never use it in town (too much cyclists or pedestrians), and I switch it off on country side road when crossing a cyclist. For all other cases ACC works very well. Music staying ON when engine is switched Off is for me very confortable as you can continuing listening the Radio when waiting in the car.
The connection to my Dacia app seems to be a problem everywhere. My Duster was delivered to me last August. I connected to the app at the dealership and it was working fine. A few months ago i was disconnected and not been able to connect again since then. Not even able to retrieve my account through the password reset process. I put a new password using all the mandatory characters. And i get a message that I use non compatible characters. But if i don't use at least one character like @#$ I can not create a new password. It so frustrating. Greece here. I contacted the importer via email a couple of months ago and haven't received an answer yet.
Why don't you say about the AC button?
When you eneter the car and decide to switch on/off the AC the button must be pressed SEVERAL times to triger the action.
It does not matter if you do it few minutes after you run the car or immediately after you enter. Its always the first interaction with the button.
Why don't you say about the volume control knob that switches by faulty design from music volume to navigation volume?
You have to restart android auto connection or the car to get it back to normal? Top notch annoying stuff.
This car have many cons, which you did not discover yet, but ultimately the authorized service quality provided is far the worst that will happen to you. Yesterday I made a Dacia service A (first year service) and they damaged my rear bumper. Probably when checking the state of thealth of the traction battery. Most interactions with them happen to cause damage to my car (previously both left and right wheel arch paintjob was fcuked by them). Anyway – whoever already bought this state of art dog poop on wheels I wish good luck and KEEP your eyes open when you get your car back from the workshop (missing pins, bolts, scratches). I alsoe already had leak from HEV gearbox, repaired once and so it seem that the gearbox will be out for the second time (please don't think its an easy operation here..).
If you consider BUYING one of those faulty, leaky inventions, please think twice and SAVE YOUR TIME!.
Well… Idling is bad for modern engines, maybe there's the answer. Duster has a small battery so electric AC is not really an option like in Toyota hybrids.
Also, temperature differential is probably increased when engine is stopped. Can't say I blame them for these decisions.

Welldone for the video, i told you one week before that is a serious issue the A/C system . For me unfortunately i went second time on the dealer garage and my car is there again, I had the same problem as the previous week ,my car stopped sudenly and was dead, after 5 -10 minutes comeback again normal, i turned off first.
I also tried to explain this to the sales rep – his response was that perhapse such hybrid car is not for me. Well.. in 40++ degrees summer countries that might be issue. I also shared I didnt understand why I can't turn off the "adaptive" part of the cruise control. I really dont want the adaptive automatic nonsense. I just want to have the car keep a certain speed, but it gets affected by a variety of nearby stuff.
Don't you think that the first 3000km you should drive only on petrol to develop the engine? ⛽
and then fill up with LPG
Such a shame the compressor does not work without having the ICE working, cmon dacia/renault, you can do better
aaaand Dacia hybrid got removed from my list… no AC on EV mode is big no no.

About the cyclists or just walking people. You have 3 options. Indeed turn ACC off. The second one is travel just a bit wider around the object. The third one I use the most is override it with the gas padel by pushing it in
i was thinking, maybe installing a cable for start stop deactivation,( just like the non hybrid duster..) but then ev mode will not turn on at all, i think, because if you open the hood, it turns on the engine

As i Promise in March (really old comment below one of your videos), I'll go to the car dealer tomorrow to start my adventure with my Duster 150G 4×4 (extreme version… = no adaptive cruise control = problem solved! 😛). In the meantime, I've followed you watching videos "on snow", "on muds", and so on… and… thankyou for your time and passion!
What happens with the AC if the car is in neutral?

In some countries it is now illegal to sit in the car at a standstill with the engine running for more than a few seconds.
Don’t use adaptive cruise control in slippery/icy conditions because all vehicles with such systems cannot anticipate what happens in front, only react. A driver can anticipate and see beyond the car ahead and keep a further distance and brake more gently and sooner than any automated system so far made. Maybe with more artificial intelligence advances in future, it will be better.

There is 3 step settings of the AC. Just push up or down AC button. Maybe this will help.
Music stoping by opening doors it is normal in renalut . I had that in renault megane 2 2004…
About adapitve cruise control i think you can change response in setiings. But this is a isue in every car
In every car engine will stop. It is start stop system. Every 10 old car has it.
You must drive (pretty) slow for 1000km range and tgat means no highways speeds

Salut Mihai. Frumos video si foarte informativ. Stii ce mi-ar place: sa faci un video unde folosesti aerul conditionat si sa masori temperatura aerului la nivelul ventilatiilor. De exemplu la Duster-ul meu 3 cu temperatura exterioara undeva la 25-27°C , cu temperatura interioara setata la 17° am la nivelul gurilor de ventilatie undeva la 13° C in mod normal si undeva la 10°C in mod recirculare aer. Is curios ce temperaturi o sa ai tu. Multumesc si sanatate multa.
